RAW HAIR CARE GUIDE

How to Maintain Your Raw Haus Extensions

Our raw hair is 100% unprocessed donor hair. Because it has not been chemically altered, it behaves like natural hair and requires proper moisture and gentle handling to maintain its softness, shine, and longevity.

Follow these care guidelines to protect your investment.

1. CLEANSING

How Often:
Wash your extensions every 1–2 weeks depending on product usage and lifestyle.

Product Choice:
Always use sulfate-free and alcohol-free shampoo to prevent dryness.

Washing Steps:

Fill a sink or basin with lukewarm water.

Apply a small amount of gentle shampoo.

Smooth the hair downward — do not scrub or twist.

Rinse thoroughly with cool water to help seal moisture.

2. HYDRATION & CONDITIONING

Raw hair thrives on moisture.

Use a nourishing conditioner after every wash.

Apply a deep conditioning mask every 2–4 weeks.

Light leave-in conditioner can be used for daily softness.

Avoid heavy greases that cause buildup.

Moisture is the key to minimizing tangling and extending longevity.

3. DRYING

Best Option: Air drying is highly recommended.

Lay the hair flat on a towel to dry naturally.

If blow drying, use low heat only.

Keep heat tools at a safe distance to prevent damage.

Excessive heat reduces lifespan.

4. HEAT STYLING

Yes — raw hair can be styled.

However:

Always apply a heat protectant first.

Use low to medium heat settings.

Avoid daily straightening or curling.

Limit bleaching and chemical processing.

The more gentle you are, the longer your hair will last.

5. STORAGE

When not installed:

Store hair in a silk or satin bag.

Keep in a cool, dry place.

Lightly braid or twist before storing to prevent tangling.

Proper storage preserves texture and shine.

6. DETANGLING

Always detangle from ends upward.

Use a wide-tooth comb or soft bristle brush.

Hold the weft while brushing to prevent shedding.

Never aggressively brush wet hair.

Gentle handling prevents unnecessary breakage.

7. NIGHT PROTECTION

To reduce friction and dryness:

Sleep with a satin or silk bonnet.

Use a silk pillowcase.

Loosely braid longer lengths before bed.

Night protection significantly increases longevity.

8. MINIMIZE PRODUCT BUILDUP

Too much product weighs down raw hair.

Use lightweight oils (argan or jojoba).

Avoid thick gels or heavy creams.

Clarify once monthly if necessary.

Clean hair performs better.

9. MAINTENANCE

Trim ends every 6–8 weeks if needed.

Seek professional installation and removal.

Proper care can allow raw hair to last 2–3 years or more.
